What Are Room Codes?

Room codes are an easy way to get your friends into a party or join your friends party! You can create one by going to the Main Menu and choosing “Multiplayer” ->“Private Game”. At the very top of the list, after selecting Private Game, you will see “Match Code”, the match code is your room code. Give the code to your friend for them to join your party. Keep that menu open until a friend joins. Once they join you will be able to choose a hall.If you have been given a room code you can select “Room Code” and then enter it. 

Room Codes - Tips and Tricks for Private Game

We have a couple tips and tricks for room codes!

If you are creating a room with room codes make sure you keep the “Private” room screen open. It does say “Keep this menu open until a friend has joined with your room code” after a friend has joined you are free to go into the hall.

If you see something along the lines of “joining this group was unsuccessful” double check your party leader that the code they gave you is correct.

Currently, when you go to type on the keyboard that pops up after you select room code, it takes a second until you can actually press the keys. Wait a second until you start typing. This will ensure the first number is not left out!

Where do I enter a room code in Private Game?

You can enter a room code from the Main Menu in the center of the lobby select "Private Game". After that, at the very bottom of the list after selecting "Private Game" you will see “Room Code”. Enter your number from the keyboard that pops up.
