How To Line Up & Lock In Your Shot

You can play ForeVR Pool with one hand or two! To choose which hand and one/two handed mode you will need to pause the game and open the settings menu. Towards the bottom of the menu you can see the option for “Dominant Hand” and a slider for “Two Handed.” If you ever trying to take a shot and you see a red notification (like the target lines being red) all you need to do is to slightly adjust your view or raise your cue to a higher pitched angle.

Playing with two controllers: To line up your shot you will need to hold the trigger button with your front hand (the one that holds the front of the cue), that will bring you into aim mode. While holding the trigger with the front hand position your desired angle. When you are ready to lock in the shot you will need to hold the back hand’s trigger button. If you want to add spin, hold the grip and the trigger button. Fun tip! While in aim mode you can rotate your avatar by pressing the thumbstick left or right, while still holding the trigger button with the opposite hand or you can physically move your body!

Playing with one controller: Press forward on the thumbstick to go into aim mode. In aim mode move your hand left and right to adjust the angle, move your hand up and down to adjust the pitch. Hold the trigger button to lock in the shot. Move your arm back and forward to hit the cue ball. At any point you can press the thumbstick back to exit aim mode. To get spin on the ball while in aim mode hold the grip button along with the trigger button..

Power Level & How To Hit

Each cue has two stats, “power” and “spin”. To see more on what these mean check out this article Pool Cues Power & Spin Stats. Players should be mindful of these stats when taking their shot. Cues with a high power (like S+) will not need much arm effort when taking your shot. Cues with a low power are recommended for more delicate situations, like wanting to gently pocket a ball.
