We’ve certainly played a lot of cornhole and have also asked our players what tips and tricks they suggest – here is what we have gathered!

  • Make sure you practice different levels of Throw Power as this will greatly affect how hard or how soft you need to throw your bag. If you find that your bag keeps going out of bounds, you may need to lower your Throw Power setting. If your bag barely reaches the board, then you may need to set your Throw Power setting higher.
  • Make sure your swing pathway is clear and safe for your hand and arm
  • Practice different kinds of throw techniques such as an underhand back spin throw (sling toss), frisbee toss, jump toss, or fold over toss. To know how each toss is maneuvered you may click on this link under Diffirent Tossing Styles. You can also find some pretty cool tips and tricks on the site as well.
  • Try a higher lob or angle slightly higher  when you throw
  • Make sure your controllers are in your headset's field of view
  • Make sure your headset and controllers are sufficiently charged
  • Do not keep swinging your arm. It does add momentum but where the bag lands wouldn't be accurate.
  • When throwing, bend your knees and try for a soft lob until you get the hang of judging the distance.
  • Watch the hole as you swing don't stress because every bag toss is a new chance and a fresh start
  • Don’t forget to High Five your friend!
