This article will help guide you in getting Twitch chat or a Twitch stream in game via our Media player! Now also be aware this is a simple workaround and we plan to make things much easier for Creators in the future. This works great for streaming from the Quest and using the “Cast to Web Browser” option.

*Be aware, the channel must be LIVE in order to get Twitch chat to appear on the media player

Step-by-Step guide

  1. Launch a ForeVR game
  2. Head over to the in-game Media Player
  3. On the Media player screen under “Help & How to” Select the “Contact Us” Box
  4. The ForeVR games website will load up.
  5. In the top right corner select “Help Center”
  6. When the new page loads search for the help article “Can I see my Twitch Chat in game?”
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the article and you’ll see the Twitch channels of ForeVR games & our community manager (Josh)
  8. Select either one of those links and it will take you to Twitch
  9. On the Twitch page in the top right corner is a small magnifying glass.
  10. Select the magnifying glass to open the search bar
  11. Select the search bar and use the in-game keyboard to type in a channel
  12. Select the channel from the dropdown list below the search bar
  13. This will load up the channel along with chat (Channel must be LIVE to see chat)
  14. To ensure there is no echo, use the volume bar above the media player and slide it to Zero

Tip: You can set your bot to announce events in chat so you don’t miss anything!

We do plan to make things much easier but this was a quick way we could help get your Twitch chat in the game so you don’t have to do the old nose-hole technique!
