As a player, when you join a multiplayer game in progress, the host of the party will be given the option to let you in OR wait for the next game.

As the host of a multiplayer lobby, if a player joins mid game they will have a blue pop up over their name tag that says "Let Me In" by selecting this button, the player will join your game in progress.

If a player joins mid-game, their score becomes the same as the highest (numerically, technically its the worst score) score from the last round completed (ex. if you have 2 players in the party, in game the current 2nd place player's score will go to the joining player).

If you don't want to disrupt the flow of the game, the player will spectate until you start the next game as which point they will be apart of your party.

Alternatively, if you are on the first round, you can go to Menu/Settings and 'Restart Game'.
