The overall goal is to get your score down to zero. Each mode, Single Out and Double Out, have a different condition in order to get it to zero. Where you throw your dart affects your score.
Single vs Double Out: In order to finish a game you will have to either Single or Double Out. These modes are chosen at the start of the match before you head into the hall.
- If you chose “Single Out” you just need to reduce your score to zero. For example if you have 32 points left, you would just need to hit two single 16’s to win the game. Single spaces are the white and black shapes.
- If you chose “Double Out” you need to hit a double on the outer red and green ring in order to get 'out' or finish. For example, if you have 32 points left, you must hit a double sixteen with your first scoring dart to win.
Regardless of the mode, you want to make sure you don’t “Bust”, busting would result in you going past zero and into negative numbers.
