You can get coins by completing games, leveling up, participating in the weekly versus modes and by completing surveys when they are available. You can see how many you have by going into the Pro Shop in the lobby.
End game rewards are calculated by your score, if you are playing multiplayer or single player, if you hit any golden pins, and some other factors!
