Default, Classic, and Optimized Throw

We offer three different throw styles. You can access the Settings menu by pressing the button with three lines on the left controller. After getting into the Settings menu you can choose your throw type in “Throw Type”

Our newest and most recommended throw type is “Optimized Throw” it shares the same foundation as “Default Throw,” but has further optimizations. After a year invaluable of player feedback and reviews, 5 million bowls thrown and 500k games played we’ve upgraded our Optimized Throw in 1.14.711! You can turn on this throw by pausing the game -> opening “Settings” -> select “Throw Type” -> select “Optimized Throw”.

One is “Default Throw” it has a very slight aim assist that is calculated on release of the ball, but is still challenging and fun! Default throw suits most players, particularly those with a faster backswing. Optimized to compensate for micro-movements of the controller (as it weighs significantly less than a bowling ball).

Another option is “Classic Throw” and offers no aim assist and just takes into account raw input, and is meant for players who want a more challenging throw. We encourage you to try both with a variety of balls, and oil patterns to find which throw you prefer! You can access these throw style settings from within the game’s settings. Early bowlers will recognize this as the ‘launch throw’. Needs a slow, steady backswing. This mode does not include “weighted throw optimization”.
