How To Play “Treasure Hunt”

Treasure Hunt

Be the first person to suck up ten stars and stay on the redemption platform for ten seconds to win! Grow bigger by depositing sucked up items to the trashcan "Dumpy". Shoot your sucked up items at other players to steal their stars!    

Collecting Stars  

You collect stars by sucking them up! When you down a player with stars that player will drop their held stars. Players holding stars will have a number above their head. You lose stars when you are downed. If you lose all of your health you become downed you will respawn at spots around the level. But, more stars fall every minute! So keep your eyes alert and your vacuum ready! 

Star Colors

Stars have different bonuses based on their color! Red Stars increase your health, Blue Stars increase your carrying capacity and your projectile damage, Green Stars increase your speed. 

Redemption Zone

The Redemption Zone is a platform that you will need to stay on for ten seconds once you have ten stars! You can jetpack vertically but be sure not to go too high! You will see a timer countdown in the activity feed. 

Growing

You grow in size when you turn in items to Dumpy. By sucking up items your blue bar will increase. When it is full you will need to head to the trashcan to drop off your items. When your blue bar is full you will not be able to suck up more items. If you shoot items your bar will be slowly depleted. 

Growing in size has its advantages! Getting bigger allows you to suck up bigger items and in the event of a tie the player with the bigger size will win. As you level up your base stats also get better! Your health will refill once you level up too!

Receptacles - Dumpy

These friendly orange trashcans are the receptacles that want your sucked-up items! Give them your items, they will slowly fill up, and you will increase in size. To start, there are three trashcans where you can deposit your items. Once they are fully filled up, they will transform and launch back into space! The bigger trashcans will then be available. You can see their locations by looking for the orange arrow above them.

You have two options to deposit items! The slower option is to shoot the trashcan from afar. To shoot, press or hold the trigger button on the right controller. You will also get a points bonus if you shoot the items into its mouth! The faster way is to enter the yellow ring around the trashcan and hold the trigger button on the right controller. When you are depositing close to the receptacle you will see a light blue stream. As you deposit your blue carrying capacity bar will deplete, and your player size meter will increase.
